What triggers a replacement
Five events, written into every order.
If any of these happens within 12 months of the link going live, the guarantee applies.
Link removed
The publisher deletes your link or the passage it sits in.
Attribute changed
The link is switched to nofollow, sponsored or UGC without your agreement.
Page deleted
The article is taken down or returns an error.
Page redirected
The article is redirected and your link no longer exists at the original URL.
Page noindexed
The page is set to noindex or blocked from search engines.

Not covered
To keep it fair, the guarantee doesn’t cover:
- Changes you ask for, such as a new anchor or target page after publishing
- Your own target page being moved, redirected or deleted
- Ranking or traffic changes on your site, which no vendor can promise
- Metric changes on the publisher's site that don't affect your link

Does the replacement get its own guarantee?
Yes. A replacement link gets a fresh 12-month guarantee from the day it goes live.
What does “equal or better quality” mean?
A replacement with similar or higher traffic, a similar or stronger share of traffic from your markets, and a comparable topic. You approve it before it's placed, so you decide whether it's equal.
Do I have to report a missing link?
No. Our monitor checks every link automatically. If you spot something first, tell us and we'll act on it the same way.
What if a publisher restores the link?
Even better. We always try to restore the original link first, because it keeps its age and history.
